Penfolds rosé was born out of a pursuit of winemaking excellence whilst maintaining all the hallmarks of the style’s approachability and bright youth.
Former Chief Winemaker Max Schubert first discovered the allure of fresh, bright rosé during his early European travels. Upon his return, he explored this varietal, with the first production dating back to 1958.
Our first commercial venture into Rosé introduced Max's Rosé, a radiant expression exclusively sourced from pinot noir from the Adelaide Hills. With its rose gold hues, this wine entices with lifted raspberry and berry scents and a refreshingly crisp palate, perfect for casual summer sipping straight from the ice bucket.
Further enriching our Rosé collection, we've unveiled One By Penfolds Rosé and Champagne Thiénot X Penfolds Rosé Champagne NV, the latest addition to our collaboration series with Champagne House Thiénot, marking our commitment to innovation and going beyond borders.
